The 2021-22 Woodland Shakespeare Club Program, 'She Hath Been Reading! A Potpourri of Programs Harkening Back to the Past,' was remarkable for two reasons: First, members were able to meet again in person—with a hybrid Zoom version offered. Second, they spent the year learning more about the club's 134-year history and revisiting programs of the past. Program readings varied: October: Woodland Shakespeare Club History; November, The Giver of the Stars by Jojo Moyes and The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Richardson; December, Sixty Minute Shakespeare: Twelfth Night; January, The Brownings: Poetry, Letters and Spoof; February, Noon at Tiffany's by Echo Heron; March, Guest speaker David Wilkinson on his book Gertrude Freeman and Her Trees; and April, Rap as Poetry: Hip Hop and Shakespeare, The Sonnets, William Shakespeare and Hamilton, Lin Manuel Miranda.
